Taco John’s is offering a Taco Pizza for a limited time in three markets. The oven-baked pizzas are being tested in Paducah, Kentucky, Evansville, Indiana and Mankato, Minnesota, according to a press release.
The pizza starts with a 10-inch corn and flour crust. It’s topped with refried beans, beef and the brand’s four-cheese blend. The pizza is finished with a new Fiesta sauce, tortilla chips, shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. It’s priced at $9.99.
“We saw an opportunity to craft a Taco Pizza in a bolder way than other brands in our category,” Brad Bergaus, Taco John’s corporate chef and director of menu innovation, said in the release. “We’re using quality ingredients like you’d find at a sit-down restaurant, but with the convenience of a drive-thru.”
Taco John’s operates nearly 400 restaurants in 23 states.
