Popeyes has partnered with Truff seasoning to offer the Spicy Truff Chicken Sandwich. It’s available nationwide at $5.99, according to a press release.
Popeyes’ chicken sandwich is stopped with Truff’s signature Spicy Mayo, which offers the flavors of red jalapeno, mayonnaise and black winter truffle.
“Both Popeyes and Truff have reimagined our industries, and now we are coming together to challenge the status quo on the concept of ‘fancy food,’ but for every day,” Sami Siddiqui, president of Popeyes, said in the release. “‘We Don’t Make Sense, We Make Chicken’ is the ethos behind Popeyes culinary innovation and this collaboration is no exception. It initially might not make sense to a food connoisseur to crave truffle on a fast-food chicken sandwich, but Popeyes food defies all logic with its homemade traditions and vibrant flavors.”
“Truff’s founding roots are inspired by the streetwear mentality of high-low fashion. So, we have always focused on creating content with the same approach. When we first started Truff, my co-founder [Nick Guillen] and I would take our truffle-infused products to fast food joints and shave real black truffles on their menu items, followed by a drizzle of Truff. In response, Truff became a phenomenon online,” Nick Ajluni, co-founder and co-CEO at Truff, said in the release. “That origin story comes full circle as we announce our partnership with Popeyes, a brand that has set the tone for what’s trending in the QSR space over the past few years. We are pleased to work with Popeyes to redefine ‘fast-food’ and offer an experience where an elevated product like Truff mixes seamlessly with the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich.”
Popeye’s operates 4,000 restaurants in the U.S. and around the world.
