Kura Sushi USA Inc., a technology-enabled Japanese restaurant concept serving cuisine through a revolving sushi service model, is partnering with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and DC to deliver prizes adorned with DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains to customers via Bikkura Pon prize machines.
The kiosks feature touch panels and a plate disposal slot located at every table in the restaurant. Connected via sensors, the touch panel registers the number of plates dispensed into the plate disposal slot. For every 15 plates inserted, a single DC x Kura Sushi Bikkura Pon prize is automatically dispensed at random.
The prize collection includes can badges, lanyards and magnetic sheets featuring DC Super Heroes and Villians — Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Joker and Harley Quinn — available at all Kura Revolving Sushi Bar U.S. restaurants through Sept. 30.
“We’re very proud to be collaborating with DC and bring their legendary characters to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar,” Sally Kurosaki, promotions and licensing manager of Kura Sushi USA, said in a company press release. “We are confident that the new prize collection will be an absolute ‘smash’ with our guests.
“We’ve also enhanced the look and feel of our prize capsules for this collaboration to make them environment-friendly and are excited to be the first organization to introduce ecopon to the U.S. market in partnership with developers K2 Station Co., Ltd., Rengo Co. Ltd., and Daiho Industrial Co., Ltd. ecopon is the world’s first plastic-free, biodegradable and recyclable paper capsule made from starch and paper.”
