In one of the more unique marketing efforts, Subway is searching nationwide for its biggest fan — a fan who will be willing to change their first name to “Subway” in return for Subway deli heroes for life.
The search will take place between Aug. 1 and Aug. 4 and fans can visit here and enter to win free deli heroes to life if they commit to the legal name change.
Subway will select one winner and will reimburse the fan for the legal and processing costs involved in a name change.
Fans have to be 18 years or older (19 years in Alabama and Nebraska and 21 years old in Mississippi)
In 2022, one superfan camped out for two days to get a foot-long tattoo of the Subway Series logo in exchange for free Subway for life, according to a press release.
Subway operates across more than 100 countries and territories and has 37,000 restaurants.
