Popeyes jumps on TikTok menu trend

Popeyes is jumping on the #girldinner TikTok trend. The chicken brand’s version of the “girl dinner” features a varies of side dishes that make a meal: mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, Cajun fries, coleslaw, biscuits and red beans with rice, according to a CNN report.

The girl dinner trend originally launched with TikTok user Olivia Maher, who posted a video of her own dinner featuring grapes, cornichons, bread and cheese.

In a statement, Popeyes said its girl dinner has “options packed with robust Cajun flavors that are made with the same slow, time-honored, homemade traditions of Southern cooking that the brand started in 1972.”

The girl dinner is offered on Popeyes website via a special tab.
