Famous Toastery, a 25-unit better brunch franchise brand, has hired Rob Sterioti, the former director of New Restaurant Openings for Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes, as VP of operations.

In his role he will aim to strengthen menu efficiencies by using best practices in restaurant technology and help to push the catering program forward as the brand looks to remodel and reinvigorate additional revenue streams, according to President Mike Sebazco.

“Welcoming Rob to our franchising team has been easy thanks to his extensive experience working with up-and-coming restaurant franchises,” Sebazco said in a company press release. “At Famous Toastery, he is set to build on and expand our ‘people first’ mentality and culture that we have been building since the brand’s inception 18 years ago.”

Sterioti has been in the franchise space since 2001, starting as a multi-unit franchisee with Quiznos Subs, and eventually serving as a director of operations for the Chicago area. He later joined the corporate team as regional operations manager and previously worked in operations for Hurricane Grill and Wings.
