KFC U.S. on Thursday named Jonathan Ojany its chief financial officer.
Ojany will report to KFC’s U.S. President Tarun Lal and will focus on “building and executing a winning strategy” for the business.
He comes to the Louisville, Ky.-based company from The Coca-Cola Co., where he spent eight years in various leadership roles in the U.S. and Africa. He most recently was the company’s VP and head of center strategy and operations, where he led a wide range of global initiatives, many in conjunction with its bottling business.
Ojany has held several roles with Coca-Cola and before that worked with Intercontinental Hotels Group. Lal said he has “extensive strategic and financial acumen and [a] proven reputation for building and inspiring teams.”
Lal called Ojany “the right leader for our finance function and to help achieve our bold vision for the KFC brand in the U.S.”
Ojany takes over finance for a brand that appears to be on firm footing after years of weakness. System sales grew 0.2% to $5.09 billion in 2022 while unit count declined 0.9% in the U.S. to 3,918, according to data from Restaurant Business sister company Technomic.
