Will Taco Bell keeps its Nacho Fries on its menu as a permanent addition? Perhaps, said Taco Bell CEO Mark King during an event with investors last week. King said the move could help it compete with McDonald’s especially during lunch, according to a Fox Business report.

“So let me talk about lunch,” King said during the event. “We offer fries half the time. People that go to lunch want to have French fries. We know that. So we’re looking at and testing, bringing fries permanently on to the menu, which would increase our lunch business dramatically.”

Nacho Fries were first launched in 2018 and have made their return to the menu several times throughout the last few years.
