Award-winning restaurant to host official ribbon-cutting ceremony and giveaways on Dec. 6

Walk-On's Celebrates Grand Opening of First Clemson RestaurantClemson, SC  (RestaurantNews.com)  The Clemson community is about to have their new go-to destination for cheering on their beloved Tigers when Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux® makes its debut on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Located at 403 College Ave., the new restaurant will kick off its grand opening celebration at 10 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Clemson partners and Walk-On’s executive team. To add to the excitement, the first 100 guests in line will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win FREE Walk-On’s for a year! The winner will be randomly selected and announced on opening day.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our doors while football season is on and add to the fun by bringing Walk-On’s unique Taste of Louisiana and hospitality to Clemson,” said Franchisee Jason Sadowski. “With countless TVs and mouthwatering cuisine served in a game day atmosphere, Walk-On’s is the perfect place for students, faculty and families to cheer on the Tigers. We can’t wait to celebrate this exciting grand opening with everyone on Monday.”

Walk-On’s will offer the Clemson community ample dining room for up to 130 guests, including a patio area. Plus, guests can relax and refresh in a comfortable bar area or bring the whole crew and sit at one of the many large tables throughout the restaurant. Right next to Abernathy Park, it is the perfect go-to spot to easily get a Taste of Louisiana and hang out with friends and family.

Previously, the location was the historic Astro III Theater in downtown Clemson, where CEO of Pavilion Development Rich Davies and his wife, Kelly, had their first date in the ‘70s. As Pavilion Development assists the brand in the Carolinas, the Walk-On’s team managed to save the seats where the first date occurred with plans to place them in the restaurant to pay homage to Davies and the theater.

Walk-On’s first Clemson restaurant marks the brand’s third location in South Carolina. Walk-On’s Clemson will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. For more information about the new restaurant, visit facebook.com/WalkOnsClemson.

At Walk-On’s, each dish is made from scratch, using fresh ingredients to put its unique spin on traditional Cajun and Americana cuisine and bring a taste of Louisiana to every dish. The diverse menu features unique twists on game-day staples and upscale takes on Louisiana mainstays, such as Crawfish Etouffee and Duck & Andouille Gumbo.
