A New Mexico McDonald’s will serve up meals on Thanksgiving Day with the help of a local food pantry, according to a report in the Rio Rancho Observer.
The Garza family’s McDonald’s at 1390 Rio Rancho Blvd. SE in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, will hand out 400 Thanksgiving dinners courtesy of Garcia’s Kitchen. One those are gone, guests can take home free McDonald’s meals. The giveaway is in conjunction with St. Felix Pantry.
There will be 400 refrigerated Thanksgiving meals for folks to take home. After those are taken, residents can get McDonald’s meals free. The Thanksgiving meals will be provided by Garcia’s Kitchen.
The Garza family has been helping the community at Thanksgiving for 30 years.
“We are going to just take everyone who is in the car (for meals), so if you have a large van and you can fit 12 people, that’s how many will be distributed,” Rachael Miletkov, St. Felix director of development, told the news outlet.
