No. 1 ranked breakfast franchise to expand in greater Nashville; signs second largest deal of the year

Crumbl Cookies Franchisee Signs 10-Restaurant Development Agreement with Eggs Up GrillSpartanburg, SC  (RestaurantNews.com)  Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly growing breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, has signed  another milestone development agreement in 2022. LJSweets, LLC of Tennessee owners Ron and Amy Fausnaught will develop 10 Eggs Up Grill restaurants in Greater Nashville, Tenn. The Fausnaughts plan to open their first two locations within the next 12 months. In all, Eggs Up Grill has a pipeline of 150 restaurants open or in development across the southeast.

“Our robust growth in sales and new locations, as well as our industry recognition as a top breakfast brand, continues to attract high-quality, multi-unit candidates like the Fausnaughts to join Eggs Up Grill,” said Ricky Richardson, CEO of Eggs Up Grill. “Their operational expertise, business acumen, community commitment and alignment with our Brand’s core values will serve them well as they grow Eggs Up Grill in middle Tennessee.”

The Fausnaught family owns two successful Crumbl Cookies franchises in Hendersonville and Murfreesboro, Tenn. They recently sold a third location to begin their expansion into the better breakfast segment. Ron Fausnaught is also a Doctor of Chiropractic and has owned a private practice for the last 22 years.  Amy previously worked in the pastry business and was a AAA travel agent for 10 years while also helping manage their chiropractic business. LJSweets, LLC of Tennessee was founded in 2018.

“We fell in love with Eggs Up Grill because of the bright and friendly atmosphere and the simple food that is priced well for families and offers something for everyone,” said Amy Fausnaught. “We really like the focus on making people smile, and we just love breakfast and have always wanted to own a breakfast concept and Eggs Up Grill checked all of the boxes.”

Victoria Fausnaught is chief operating officer of LJSweets, LLC of Tennessee and says what sold her was the people behind the Brand.

“When we met Ricky and the team, it solidified my belief in the brand,” said Victoria Fausnaught. “There’s a real sense of community within the corporate structure, and just an overall great attitude. We are excited to partner with Eggs Up Grill and bring the best breakfast, brunch and lunch concept to Nashville.”

Eggs Up Grill has 58 restaurants in seven southeastern states, having opened in Tennessee and Alabama this year. While the Brand more than doubled its size over the last three years, 2022 has been a banner year. Eggs Up Grill has signed commitments for more than 60 locations, including its largest ever development agreement for 30 restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Currently, twelve restaurants are under construction and more than 20 restaurants will open across 2023. Through the first quarter of 2022, its average annual unit volume (AUV) for the prior 12 months exceeded $1.1 million, with the top 50 percent of restaurants reporting AUV sales of more than $1.3 million. Eggs Up Grill’s system AUV has grown more than 25 percent since 2019.

The Brand credits its robust growth with the development support it offers in real estate, design and construction, and its nationwide food distribution network, best-in-class technology platforms and superior franchisee and team member training. Most importantly, though, is the uniquely friendly experience, great tasting food and attractive everyday value it offers guests.

The Fausnaughts have their sights set on their hometown of Murfreesboro for the first location. The group plans to continue its work in the community, supporting healthcare initiatives, local schools and first responders and believes that the expansion with Eggs Up Grill will allow them more opportunity to serve the greater Nashville community.
