Two years after opening its first restaurant in the middle of the COVID-19, EggBred has signed deals with five franchisees to expand the brand in Los Angeles and Orange County, according to a company press release.
CEO Albert Shim said the deals will result in six stores opening next year with each store operating out of spaces under 1,400 square feet during breakfast and lunch hours, only. Specializing in breakfast sandwiches, English muffins and milk buns, the brand also offers breakfast-themed beer-battered potatoes, coffee and blood orange juice as well as avocado toast and vegetarian and gluten-free options.
EggBred franchisees receive several benefits, such as use of the EggBred (or other) trademark, supplies of proprietary ingredients and proteins, equipment and furniture specifications, assistance on interior designs and store layout, preferred vendors and an operating manual providing instructions on procedures, recipes, marketing, customer service, ongoing product development, and other aspects relating to successfully operating an EggBred unit, Shim said.
