Slim Chickens is opening a store this week at 11919 Westheimer Road, Houston. It’s the brand’s seventh location in Houston.
The store is owned by TX-SC Ventures which has five locations in Houston and which plans to open five more, according to a press release. The company owns other fast-food chains along with Slim Chickens throughout Houston.
The location will create over 75 new jobs in the community.
Since its founding in 2003, the brand has celebrated over 175 openings in 30 states, with an overall goal of opening 600 restaurants by 2025. In Texas alone, the brand has already grown to 27 locations.
“Our freshly made southern dishes and homemade recipes create loyal guests who feel good about the food they’re eating and we’re proud to be able to grow our loyal fan base into the Houston market,” Slim Chickens COO Sam Rothschild said in the release.
The Arkansas-based brand opened in Wolverhampton’s Sainsbury’s Supermarket in the U.K., last week thanks to a partnership with the Boparan Restaurant Group, which owns several food production and restaurant businesses.
